How do I book an insurance repair with Capital SMART?

Once your insurance claim is approved, your insurer will book an assessment at one of our collision repair centres. We will send you an SMS notification to confirm your assessment and provide details on what to expect.

Repair times vary depending on the extent of damage and parts availability, but most minor repairs are completed within a few days. We will provide an estimated completion time after assessing your vehicle.

Your insurance company manages loan vehicles, and availability depends on your policy and provider. Please contact your insurer to check your eligibility and for further details.

At Capital SMART Repairs, we offer complimentary transport service to and from our accident repair centre to ensure a hassle-free experience.

We use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or high quality alternatives, depending on your insurer’s guidelines and availability.

We currently only accept insurance repairs from our partnered insurers. We are a trusted repairer for Suncorp Group brands, including AAMI, GIO, Apia, Shannons Insurance, Vero, Bingle, and Suncorp Car Insurance.

If your insurance company has not referred your vehicle to us, we are unable to process the repair through your policy.

However, you can still choose to have your vehicle repaired with us as a private repair, where you cover the cost directly. You can request a free quote online by uploading photos of the damage and providing us with a brief description of the required repairs.

For insurance repairs, we recommend contacting your insurer directly in the first instance for repair status updates.

We will also send you SMS notifications or call you to provide regular updates on your repair progress.

Guided Image Capture is a digital tool provided by Suncorp that allows you to take photos of your vehicle damage using your smartphone. The system guides you step-by-step, ensuring we receive the right images to accurately assess your repair needs.

It helps us quickly understand the extent of the damage to your vehicle without you needing to visit a repair centre first. This speeds up the quoting process and allows us to get you back on the road sooner, or in some instances booked in earlier.

You’ll receive a link via SMS or email from Suncorp. Simply follow the instructions, use your smartphone camera to capture the required photos, and submit them directly through the link.

No, there’s no app required. Guided Image Capture works directly through the secure link you receive, making it simple and convenient to use.

If you are unable to upload your damage photos, please attend your scheduled in-person assessment as confirmed in your booking, and our team will assist you.

Once your images are uploaded, our team uses them to prepare for your assessment. We’ll contact you if there is anything further you need to do.

Not at all. The tool is designed to streamline the assessment process only. Your vehicle will still be repaired by Capital SMART’s skilled technicians, using industry-leading technology and processes.

If you’re unable to complete Guided Image Capture, don’t worry – Simply attend your scheduled in person assessment, our team will look after you.
Yes. All images and information submitted through Guided Image Capture are securely transmitted to Suncorp and used solely for your insurance claim and repair process.

On average, Guided Image Capture only takes about 10–15 minutes to complete.
